Polaris has entered mass transit status with the new 2008 Ranger Crew, a 4X4 utility vehicle with a passenger load of six.
The Crew will run 44 mph with its 700 cc fuel-injected twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, engine, and boasts large storage areas under the seats. Running gear includes independent rear suspension and switch-engaged, on-demand true all wheel drive.
The heavy hauler runs on a 108-inch wheelbase and weighs in at 1460 lbs. dry. The four-wheel disc brake system sports dual piston calipers in front with stainless steel liners all the way around. Ground clearance is 11 inches.
The new machine has a tow capacity of 2,000 lbs. and a payload rating of 1,750 lbs.
A nine-gallon fuel tank is standard, along with full instrumentation and a Delta Green paint job.
