How many times a day do you see requests to "Like Us on Facebook," "Follow Us on Twitter," or "Check In on Foursquare?" Have you ever searched for a business on Google and found a map to the location?
Do you or someone you know use a smart phone to find information about businesses? If you're over age 30, you probably scratching your head over at least one of those questions. Now's the time to quit scratching and start digging into how to use mobile and social media tools to connect with customers and other businesses.
To help you do just that, Penn State, Ohio State, and Minnesota Extension have teamed up to offer a series of eight webinars on social media and mobile technology for ag businesses. Webinar sessions will cover a variety of topics within an organized framework, beginning with the development of a SM strategy and moving on to sessions covering developing quality SM content, various mobile applications, reputation management, and concluding with tools for integrating SM use.
The series begins on Jan. 11 and occurs every other Wednesday at 10 a.m. EST. Often, it's these connections or relationships that make a business successful over the long run. Social media tools, like Facebook and Twitter, offer access to hundreds of millions of people.
Mobile tools, operated from a smart phone or tablet (such as an iPad), offer many options to help customers find and connect with a business. Learn how to take advantage of these tools to increase sales. Learn what types of businesses are best suited for using these social media tools.
