It's been a historic show season for Cutting Edge T Delilah.
The 5-year-old Brown Swiss, owned by Elite Dairy and Kyle Barton of Copake, N.Y., won supreme champion at World Dairy Expo.
That's a significant enough accomplishment by itself. But Delilah made history by being the second cow in the 52-year history of the show to win both overall supreme as well as supreme of the junior show.
It capped off what's been a truly remarkable early fall for Barton and his Ex-94 cow. Along with winning both supreme titles, Barton was the 15th winner of the Merle Howard Award at the expo.
In September, Barton and Delilah took the All-American Dairy Show by storm by winning supreme champion. At that show, judge Jason Lloyd commented on the cow's impressive udder.
"She's awesome. A really good cow with a big track record, she looks as good as ever," he said.
Top honor for NY showman
Barton and Delilah weren't the only ones from New York honored for their accomplishments in the show ring.
Adam Liddle of Argyle won the Klussendorf Award, the highest recognition given to a dairy cattle showman in the U.S.

Maryland Ayrshire breeder honored
Palmyra Berkely P Ruth-ET is well-known in the Ayrshire world, having won 2017 grand champion of the International Ayrshire Show at World Dairy Show.
The cow's breeder, Evan Creek of Hagerstown, Md., was awarded the Klussendorf-MacKenzie Award at World Dairy Expo. The award is given in memory of Duncan MacKenzie, the 1961 Klussendorf Award winner.
According to a World Dairy Expo press release, Creek bred and owned many junior and open All-American nominees. He also has bred numerous sires that have successfully influenced the breed through their active service in A.I. programs.
